A Bulgarian Network of Research Mobility Centers has been set up in Bulgaria in order to become an integral part of the European Network ERA MORE.

The Bulgarian network consists of a National Center, four Regional Centers and one Center for intersectorial mobility of researchers.

The National Research Mobility Center has been established at the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski with the objective to act as an interface between the European and the Bulgarian researchers' mobility strategies.

The Regional Research Mobility Centers have been determined by the Ministry of Education and Science following the principle of optimal geographical coverage of the research organizations and universities in the country. For this purpose Bulgaria is divided into four regions – North, East, South Central and Southwest.

The Research Mobility Centers ensure comprehensive and up-to-date information and personzlised services to the mobile researchers and their families on the following issues:

• visa and entry conditions
• work permissions, working opportunities
• salaries and taxes, pension rights
• healthcare, social security
• accommodation
• childcare and education
• language courses for foreigners
• Bulgarian culture and leisure opportunities
• Intellectual Property Rights
