The coordination of EURAXESS Bulgaria performs by Sofia University and by the Institute of Technology and Development (ITD) Foundation.
Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (SU) is the first Bulgarian university, established on January 1, 1889. Throughout its more than hundred years of history Sofia University has been and continues to be a national center for higher education and research with fundamental and applied nature. Today it is the largest and most modern teaching and research center in Bulgaria and includes 16 faculties with 92 majors.
The Institute of Technology and Development (ITD) Foundation is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization motivated by the challenge to support the development of innovative ideas and technology transfer. Among the main aims of the ITD are to create bridges between the academic community and industry in Bulgaria for fostering technology transfer. ITD is engaged also in training and educational activities supporting the applications of new technologies in education, focusing on the methodological research and dissemination of best practices related to ICTs.
Bulgarian network includes contact persons, local contact points (LoCPs), based in universities and research organizations to serve of mobility of researchers.
LoCPs ensure comprehensive and up-to-date information and personalized services to the mobile researchers and their families. The LoCP at UNWE, Sofia provides the researchers with specialized information related to intellectual property rights.
